When the going gets tough the tough get painting. Creativity is a wonderful thing. My art has been a lifesaver; it has been a lifeline.
Throughout life when faced with adversity I have used my painting to channel inner strength. I have gained insight and awareness, and this has helped me develop strength, resilience and hope. We all do everything we can in life to avoid pain but when it is forced on you, you have no choice but to get through it. Your survival mechanisms come into play and through that you grow, gaining a deeper understanding of life and consciousness. I believe life’s painful experiences increase one’s capacity for empathy and compassion. Adversity opens the door for human potential. My experiences have made me the person I am, and I am grateful for that.
So what I’m trying to say is, if you are struggling, there is hope. Listen to your intuition, meditate and find your bliss whatever that is. Life is beautiful – it’s all about perspective.
